Fitness First

A funny story to tell. I have joined a fitness center, called "Fitness First," and it is in the mall of Central Pinklao in Bangkok. The mall did not open until 11:00 a.m. and the class I wanted to take was at that time. I could not get into the mall area, and so I went to talk to a man at the ticket booth for people who park their cars. He could not speak a lick of english and it happened that a car waiting for a ticket, happened to be going there too. He told me he was going to Fitness, and motioned for me to get in his car and he would take me. I was a little reluctant to take his offer to drive me, but then saw a woman sitting next to him in the car. Without parking his car, he dropped me off at the backend door and told me where to go from there. I did not even have to walk from his car!! I thought I would never get into a stranger's car, nor do this in the states, but getting into his car seemed like normal. Again, it is another way Thai's open their hearts and doors in this case to you!
